Really?  I fuckin’ lolled.  No offense intended to anyone who’s incensed by whatever doings the dark bloglords of LJ have done to piss you off this time, but come on.  That’s retarded.

I need to let everyone here know that my voice sounds absolutely fucking stupid when it’s recorded.  However, if I mess with the pitch in Audacity…-7% seems to be the sweet spot…it is considerably less so, at least by my reckoning.   Audio is a force I’m far from mastering.  It is a new, challenging medium for me, and I’m not sure how deeply I plan on researching the options available.  Still fun though!

Hello everyone. This announcement pertains to particle physics, none-the-less you may not stop reading now. The congressional funding bill for 2008 has reduced the budget to Fermilab so significantly, that the lab will have to layoff many employees and halt all R&D on upcoming projects. There is an article in the Chicago Tribune (and virtually no where else). This might not seem like a big deal in a world where terrorists have been attacking our imaginations, but if the bill passes as it is at the end of this week, the future of high-energy particle physics will effectively be killed in the United States. Large numbers of physicists will have to move to other countries to continue their work, and America will lose its position as the world leader of cutting edge particle physics. This will have a devastating impact on the University of Minnesota’s physics department as well. The NOVA project was scheduled to begin construction next year, and the U had been awarded $36M for construction and R&D. The NOVA project will be halted for the next year, and potentially killed for good if this bill passes.

Owen Wilson tried to kill himself.

Owen Wilson is reportedly in a serious condition in a Los Angeles hospital after a suspected suicide attempt.

The Wedding Crashers star was admitted to St John’s hospital in Los Angeles yesterday after the police department responded to a medical assistance call from the fire department around midday, according to website and newspaper reports.

He was then transferred by ambulance to another LA hospital around 4pm, where his condition was initially listed as “grim” but has since been stabilized.

A well known Los Angeles criminal attorney and police were reportedly present at the hospital. Wilson’s two brothers were also there.

Pow Web is the Real Media of Web Hosts.

Well, yeah…it works NOW.  After about 40 bajillionn Universal Rebirth Cycles.  And it’s running slow again anyway.  Code-Slinger says that Wordpress is inherently slow, and part of the problem…but I still say that Pow Web is the main culprit.

I must learn patience.  Breath deep…

Does this mean that I CAN’T say that I think America going to War in Iraq had a whole helluvabunch more to do with monetary interests than not?    Does this mean that I CAN’T say that President George Walker Bush Junior is a Goddamn war-mongering asshole?  Does this mean I CAN’T say that I think the war in Iraq is a clusterfuck of abject horror and I disagree with it?
